How will Emanuelle Vos mix music and street culture with sustainable ideas?
"Well, my parents gave me the name of Emanuelle and my last name is Vos."
"Part from The Netherlands, part from Indonesia."
"The international feeling, modern architecture, nice people and very future minded ideas being spread."
"I think it would be very interesting to mix music and street culture with sustainable ideas. For me Rotterdam is a great example where club nights are filled with people who are not separating themselves from the whole or others. People are here together to experience whatever is happening. Connecting sustainable ideas more with this culture of young people can be a great step forward, for us all seeing that we can make positive changes in a cool and creative way."
"I have this complex but handy brain system that remembers exactly how many clicks I am away from the next song on YouTube and so that was often the library of music I used.."
"First I was collecting music but mostly in a very outdated way. Free downloading had just been shut off and I was collecting my music through Youtube and other websites and I saved the url-links and videos on a Tumblr account, so I could listen to it again. I have this complex but handy brain system that remembers exactly how many clicks I am away from the next song on YouTube and so that was often the library of music I used. I shared my music with others and eventually some of the music had been received by a few DJ’s. I have always been the one with the newest tunes in High School but was I even more the excited girl on the dancefloor, knowing exactly where she came for. That was the moment I thought: I can also learn how to mix and change from dancing girl to (still dancing girl) sharing my favorite and found music. So, at a party my employer at that time organized for New Year a couple of years ago, I got my first gig and there it started."
"Wow, I listen to any music at home. It can be the most psychedelic music, meditation music, soul music, hip-hop, world music, techno... It can be anything. Well, that’s not true. I don’t like rock and heavy energy music."
"My father has a great collection of music, quite eclectic. He loves music. There was a lot of music around me and I used to do a lot of street dance. Hip-hop was the main genre in dance class and hip-hop played a big part in my musical history. At home we listened to all music from reggae to rock. And I am still growing up."
"Yes, subconsciously. I don’t like rock music now and that has definitely to do with listening to my fathers’ stuff and on the other hand a seed was planted to listen and love most genres of music instead of being very narrow minded only listening to particular genres."
"I love Erykah Badu and I have sweet memories with Rhye. All time fave The Opposites."
"Ha! Nice! I have a vegetarian diet for over six years now and since four years I don’t eat or use any animal derived products at all. You call that a vegan or plant based lifestyle. It is just a more loving and caring choice in diet for the animals and planet but also very very profitable for human health. With changing diet, you have to change the way you cook. That is where the passion started. I had to learn to be very creative with vegetables and plant protein. I study herbal medicine and when I have completed my study, I can share even more about food and the benefits of herbs. For now I share recipes and restaurants can hire me for making vegan recipes for the menu or helping with the foodconcept and I support all green ideas that cross my path. Cooking is such an intimate way of making contact with other people and it is very satisfying. You can taste the energy and time someone is putting in the food, right?
Sharing knowledge is important, of course only if it has the right intention and is not led by ego and knowing better. Keep your food clean, as straight from the tree or plant to your plate as possible and with more plant protein and less animal fats. For now it is just my true passion to share the most pure ideas on food, health and harmony and time will tell if something tangible for the rest of the world will arise from that passion."
"Nicola Cruz, I love him! Listening to his music also makes me think that he is a well developed being. It is not really the music you would expect with Emanuelle Vos, but I love his music!"
"It is charming, alive, great location and in summer such an attraction with the terrace. I like it!"
"Lowlands is still my favorite all-my-friends-in-fantasy-world- festival. Although the Dutch people can still learn a lot about caring more for nature while partying."
"Emanuelle Vos as a DJ will have released some produced tracks and is keeping the nightlife going. Music will still play a big part but my passion for food, health and harmony will definitely transform to a more established project/job. I might live somewhere near the beach in a more tropical climate but in Dutch summer I will be based in The Netherlands. I will have a cute little family with the love of my life Thomás and a happy playing kid on his back."
"Dancing keeps you young!"
"Sharing the good and earning enough money to travel around the world."
"There is a new album of Rhye called " Blood " you should check first and not particularly new but keep an eye on The Flexican because I know he’s up to some things!"
"Yes. Dancing keeps you young!"
